Magical Monday: Archie and Harry Potter Land

Hello loves.

I must tell you a somewhat silly, but precious story that has happened to me in the last month or so now. One day I came home from a long day of work and my mom immediately tells me, "Today I fell in love with David Archuleta." WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO THINK? I immediately began laughing because it was just so out of the blue and random and I thought, "Wait. What. REALLY?" Haha.

So, she brings me up to her office and makes me listen to her new Christmas CD she got which was "Glad Christmas Tidings" by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir featuring none other than David Archuleta. She had purchased an AUTOGRAPHED copy! :) Haha. So, I listened to "Angels from the realms of Glory" with her... and I must admit... I cried. It. Was. BEAUTIFUL. Not only had my mom stumbled upon a treasure, I too understood what she meant about loving him. His gorgeous, perfect voice is one thing... but there was also something else about him.

My mom had been watching little videos and listening to the CD all day and she told me, "I can just feel his testimony and spirit while listening and watching him. I just KNOW he's a good person, who will always be a great example for the church. He just GLOWS."

Those probably weren't her EXACT words but quite like that, I assure you.
So, my laughter about her silly little "crush" stopped and as I listened and watched I understood too what kind of wonderful person he is.

Let me back up and tell you why this frustrates me a little. When David was on American Idol my Dad worked for Kelloggs who was one of the main sponsors of the AI tour. Because of this we were totally hooked up with concert tickets (like 3rd row) and BACKSTAGE PASSES... guess what? WE DIDN'T GO!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh. (Oh, regret.)
I can't believe we didn't go... well, as it turns out that year was not a "TV" year for us and we didn't even watch that season of AI. I mean, we heard about David and knew he was a member of the church and we were excited for him but... ksdfhkzshfklzxghjozskhjklsdfsdf.

We just didn't GET IT.

So, we ended up totally wasting those precious backstage passes. One happy note was that we actually sent the tickets to my Aunt, Uncle and cousins so that they could go to the show. (It was in Kansas CIty...) They had an incredible time and I'm really happy that our "hook up" didn't TOTALLY go to waste...

Anyway, that's totally lame right? Yeah. I know.

**I lost the rest of this entry when my computer decided to die on me. I'm sad. I will finish it tomorrow, promise.**
